Oberoi International School has an independent Career and College Counseling Department comprised of three Counselors: Ms. Tiffany Goulet, Ms. Minal Dhand, and Ms. Catherine Geisen-Kisch. Together, they help prepare students for life after grade 12.
Services include guidance for higher education (internationally and within India), exploration of career and course options, assistance in understanding the college application processes, admission requirements and the provision of OIS documentation.
OIS Career and College Counselors support students in recognizing, and building upon, their individual strengths and interests to find balance, fulfillment, and success in life. Group sessions and workshops are conducted throughout the year for high school students. Furthermore, individual one-on-one weekly meetings take place with IB students to carefully plan out their future career path.
Throughout the year, the department organizes visits from universities internationally, as well as domestically, where students and parents may learn about available programs and acceptance requirements by talking directly with recruitment representatives. Such discussions enable students and their families to gain answers to any questions that they may have, while providing access and exposure to broaden their understanding of higher education choices around the globe. Interactive sessions with parents are also conducted by our College Counselors over the course of the year on a variety of topics of importance.
The department periodically conducts guidance sessions, catering to the requirements and planning needs of each grade level (grade 9 to grade 12) to help students successfully navigate the college application process or other exciting growth opportunities.
OIS Alumni have been placed at universities and colleges all over the world, including those in the United States of America, the United Kingdom, Europe, Asia, Australia and India.
